Oakland Cosmetic Dermatology
New Laser Service for Oakland Dermatology Beginning in February 2008, the department of Dermatology in Oakland will be offering a new type of laser service, that will treat “brown spots” on the skin, also referred by some as “age spots” or “liver spots”. We will offer limited appointments in February and March, and increase the availability of appointments for treating brown spots. Currently, we offer lasers for hair removal (including both dark and light-pigmented skin types), as well as vascular laser for treatment of superficial and “spider” veins. You can reach the department of Dermatology by calling our new Laser Voicemail Line at (510) 752-1844 and leaving a message requesting laser services. Please include your name, Kaiser medical record number, and the best phone number where we can reach you. Within 48 hours, you will receive a return call from our staff arranging an appointment for you. We look forward to hearing from you with any questions or for an appointment for our laser services. Again, the number where to reach us regarding cosmetic laser services is: (510) 752-1844. Cosmetic laser services are not covered under medical benefits and are considered “fee for service”.
