About Me
I completed my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, with a focus on Molecular & Cell Biology. Following college, I spent a year continuing my work in Tobacco Prevention with the City of Berkeley’s Public Health Division and as a research assistant at UCSF before moving across the country to attend the Boston University School of Medicine. I stayed in Boston to continue my medical training, completing my general surgery internship and otolaryngology residency at the Boston University Medical Center. My residency experience provided me with a well-rounded, robust training in all facets of otolaryngology, and as such I made the decision to pursue a career in general otolaryngology. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to return home to the Bay Area and join Kaiser Permanente, the hospital system I grew up with.
During residency, I conducted both clinical and quality improvement research which I presented at various regional and national conferences. I helped lead our hospital’s Tracheostomy Safety Working Group, and developed a cross-disciplinary curriculum to teach Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine providers about the care of tracheostomy patients. My previous experience in Quality Improvement translates to my clinical practice—applying these principles helps me give the best quality care to my patients. My interests include taking care of both pediatric and adult otolaryngology problems, such as sleep apnea, sinonasal disease, hearing problems, facial and neck masses.

Family and Friends
I was born in Oakland and spent my early childhood years in Berkeley. When I was in primary school my family moved to San Rafael where my parents continue to live, a quick, beautiful drive over the Golden Gate Bridge. Many of my closest friends I made in Boston during my medical training now reside in the Bay Area.
Hobbies and interests
I love food, and one of my favorite activities is trying new restaurants with friends and family. I also enjoy baking, hiking, swimming, and practicing yoga.
