About Me
Hi, welcome to my homepage, I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of your health care team. Although I am originally from Pennsylvania and had lived on the east coast most my life, I always dreamed of making a home in California, enjoying all the activities and culture the region has to offer, and I’m excited to be making that dream a reality.
I first became interested in plastic surgery during medical school at the University of Pennsylvania due the unique combination of art and science, the breadth and intricacy of the procedures, and the spirit of innovation and complex problem solving that exists within the field. I completed my residency training in the Harvard plastic surgery program, and stayed in Boston for an additional year of fellowship training, focusing on complex reconstructive microsurgery, as well as aesthetic surgery, prior to moving to the Bay Area to begin my practice.
I love that plastic surgery provides an opportunity to work with patients who have been through tremendously challenging experiences in their lives, and gives them a chance to fully heal by restoring both form and function to their bodies. I appreciate plastic surgery for its capacity to treat patients on a more personal level, and value the fact that multi-staged complex reconstructions allow the plastic surgeon to develop strong bonds with patients.
My goals as a physician are to provide the highest quality of care and compassion to my patient’s, while continually striving to improve my skills as a surgeon throughout my career, and better the community in which I work and live. I aspire to build a career based in surgical excellence and leadership. I will always work to be the greatest ambassador for medicine that I can be, through ethical practice and an unrelenting energy for making further contributions to an ever-changing science. But my ultimate goal, and reason for pursuing medicine, is to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, that they will benefit from both physically and emotionally for the rest of their lives.
I look forward to meeting you, and if there are ever any questions or concerns I can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
