About Me
I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Go Blue!) before leaving for college at Columbia University in New York. I enjoyed four years exploring NYC before I then moved on to Washington University in St. Louis for medical school followed by medicine internship and dermatology residency.
I first became interested in dermatology early in my medical journey, even while I was a pre-med. I saw how the field greatly impacted patient quality of life and how much of a difference one could make in this. As I went through medical school, I also saw more and more how dermatology connected to all different fields of medicine. I connected with a wonderful mentor and became active in research regarding complex medical dermatology, exploring diseases such as leukemia cutis and hidradenitis suppurativa throughout my time in medical school and residency.
I joined Kaiser Permanente straight out of residency because I saw that the organization aligned well my values for patient care and professional goals. The integrated health care system allows me as a physician to take care of my patients in a complete manner and make decisions for them that are not overly influence by external factors such as insurance companies, and so on. I appreciate being part of a larger organization that allows for the potential for collaboration and other opportunities of a pseudo-academic nature. I am excited to be part of Kaiser Permanente and to take care of all present and future patients.

Hobbies and interests
Outside of clinic, I enjoy activities including cooking, running, reading, and playing tennis and pickleball. My husband and I love eating and thus we are always trying new foods and restaurants. Although we did not have much of an opportunity during training, we love traveling to new destinations. In the months prior to a trip, I spend hours upon hours doing research and creating detailed itineraries in preparation!
