About Me
My goal as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon is to help my patients achieve their best functional and aesthetic outcome. My job is to help you understand your diagnosis and all the options available for treatment. Each surgery is carefully tailored to the individual – no one patient has the same anatomy, functional needs, and goals. I strongly believe that patients are capable of making the best decisions for their own health, and I want to be sure that you understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives to treatment.
I earned my medical degree and graduated AOA from Duke University in 2015 and completed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency training at UCLA. I pursued an additional year of fellowship training at Harvard Medical School, where I specialized in hand and upper extremity surgery.
It has been a privilege to train with some of the most accomplished plastic and hand surgeons, and I hope to bring the advanced variety of techniques I’ve learned to the institution. Having had opportunities to provide care in all types of practice settings in different regions of the country, I believe that I can provide the highest quality of care to my patients, here at Kaiser Permanente. I joined the group in 2022.
My clinical interests are broad and include complex hand surgery, peripheral nerve, and breast and body contouring surgery.
Family and Friends
I grew up in the suburbs outside Pittsburgh, PA and played piano and studied ballet, contemporary, and culture dance as extracurriculars. My parents now split their time between Taiwan and Pennsylvania, so California is the perfect in-between. I live with my husband and my two cats.
Hobbies and interests
I enjoy jogging, hiking, and yoga to stay healthy. I love to cook when I have time, and mostly focus on Asian-style home cooking. My husband and I enjoy traveling and I am always looking for good deals and perks through travel portals and points systems.
