About Me
I am thrilled to be joining Kaiser Permanente as one of the plastic and reconstructive surgeons serving the East Bay. My practice primarily focuses on general and cancer-related reconstruction of the breast, trunk, and extremities, including skin cancer reconstruction. My clinical interests also include in gender affirming care, body contouring, and aesthetic breast surgery. My goal as a reconstructive surgeon is to provide you with the highest standard of safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
Each patient who comes to see me has their own unique journey, and I will take as much time as needed to listen and understand what your goals and priorities are so that we can work together to formulate a plan that meets your specific needs. As your surgeon, I want you to be fully informed of the various treatment options, including the option to not have surgery. Regardless of which option you ultimately decide is right for you, trust that I will be there to guide you throughout your reconstructive journey, from before until long after your surgery.
I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente because of their patient-centered care philosophy, which values the process of shared decision-making between providers and their patients and empowers patients to be active participants in their care. Their multidisciplinary and vertically integrated healthcare model fosters a unique spirit of collaboration among providers across different specialties that I think is rare to see in today’s healthcare system, and I am proud to work alongside such brilliant and compassionate colleagues.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, hiking, and running. I have considered the Bay Area a second home ever since my undergraduate days at Stanford, and after I met my wife, who is a Bay Area native, I knew that we would eventually return here. After spending the past decade away in New York and Seattle for my training, we are glad to finally be back in the Bay Area, and I am so excited to take my son to his first 49ers game!
