About Me

I chose to practice at Kaiser Permanente because I believe in being part of an integrated healthcare system where physicians from different specialties can work together to optimize patient care. My philosophy of care is that preventative dermatologic care practiced within an integrated healthcare system leads to healthy, satisfied patients. Specifically, I believe that sun protection and regular skin examinations are vitally important for maintaining the health of our skin. Sun damage can lead to undesirable outcomes such as skin cancers, photoaging, and hyperpigmentation. A good skincare regimen that includes the use of sunscreens and sun protective clothing is a must in our sunny state of California.

It brings me joy to practice both medical and cosmetic dermatology. Reading the most recent dermatology literature and attending dermatology conferences allow me to keep up with the latest advances. I’m passionate about helping people address a wide array of skin-related concerns, and I feel comfortable seeing patients with a variety of skin types and of all ages.

Additionally, I can provide effective and up-to-date treatment strategies for my patients to prevent or reverse signs of aging. I look forward to meeting you at Kaiser Permanente and helping you achieve and maintain healthier skin through proven methods and technologies.

Family and Friends

I originally grew up in the Bay Area, but have lived in many different parts of the country, including Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, and Palm Springs in Southern California. I am excited to be back in the Bay Area to practice dermatology and to be closer to my family.

Hobbies and interests

My hobbies and interests when I am not at work include reading (my favorite genres include non-fiction, fantasy and science fiction), discovering new television shows and movies, hiking outdoors with and pampering my two Akita dogs, trying restaurants in the area, cooking various dishes, visiting friends and family, and traveling to new and interesting destinations.
